FRIENDS OF GROVELAND

COMMITTEE UPDATE

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all the supportive and generous families and friends who donated to Friends of Groveland this year. We exceeded our fundraising goal by $8,800, raising over $37,600 to enrich the educational experience of all students at Groveland Park Elementary!

FUNDRAISER SUMMARY for 2006-07:

-         The Geckler Fall Fundraiser earned $14,495 profit.

-         Celebrate Groveland earned $12,900, an increase of $1750 over last year. THANK YOU to Kris Hageman, Chris Church and all the volunteers for all their work on this very fun and successful event! Also, thank you to everyone who donated items for the silent auction and all those who attended the event.

-         The Direct Donation Drive has earned $6117 as of May 10th.

-         The Davanni’s Night Out earned $328 and was a fun way to reconnect with Groveland families early in the fall.

-         The Target Take-Charge program earned $2,819 this year, the most ever for Groveland! If you have a Target card, make sure you’re signed up for the program so your purchases earn money for Groveland.

-         Box Tops earned $1,000. Keep clipping, and save up those box tops for a promotion in the fall.

-         The Campbell’s Soup Label earned points that were redeemed for two action hockey goal nets and a rubber chicken. You’ll have to ask Mr. K about the last item…

WHAT DID ALL THIS MONEY PAY FOR THIS YEAR? See the other side for a list of many of the activities and materials purchased with Friends of Groveland funds.

WHAT HAPPENS TO UNSPENT FUNDS? Any money not spent this year is rolled into the amount to allocate next fall. That process happens in late Oct. and is open to all.

HOW CAN I HAVE INPUT INTO HOW MONEY IS RAISED AND SPENT? Contact Julie Printz at julie.printz@comcast.net or 699-6202, or Karen Benson at krbenson@visi.com or 690-9842. We welcome new members to the committee!
