|  | | | | Samo Hung | | I was born on January 7, 1952 in Hong Kong. I was raised by my grandparents when I was young. When I was 8 years old I begged my parents to join the opera academy. I met Jackie Chan there and became friends with him. I started making feature films when I was 12. When I got older I went to South Korea to study martial arts during the years 1971 to 1973.
The very first movie that I made was Once Upon a Time in China and America. I also started getting famous because I made kung- fu/ martial arts movies. I directed the movie Kung- Fu Hustle for its fighting scenes.
I got into a bar fight once and got a broken coke bottle shoved into my face. And then I ended up getting a scar at the top left corner of my mouth. I also met Jackie Chan at the bar that I had the bar fight.
One of my best movies that I made before I got too old to do stunts is called Eastern Condors. I made that movie with my friend Yuen Wo- Pheng.
I am 5 feet and 7 inches tall. I am 56 years old right now and am still alive. I live in Hong Kong and Hollywood. My name is Sammo Hung.
