                                             Lance Armstrong

I was born on September 18, 1971 in Plano, Texas.  I was born a natural athlete.  My mom once said I have always wanted to test my boundaries.
At age 16 I became a pro triathlete.  It soon became clear my destiny was cycling.
On October 2, 1996 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer.  A month after treatment I met a woman named Kristin Richard.  On May 8, 1998 I married her.  We had a son Luke and twin girls Isabelle and Grace.
After surgery and heavy chemotherapy I returned to cycling.  When I won the Tour de France for the 6th time I had broken the record of 5 wins.  When I had won it for the 7th time I declared retirement.
“Why did I ride when I had cancer?  Cycling is so hard, the suffering is so intense that it is absolutely cleansing.  You can go out there with the weight of the world on your shoulders, and after a six hour bike ride at high pain threshold, you feel at peace.”
Now a days I am found in Plano, Texas enjoying the first days of the rest of my life.  I am Lance Armstrong.
