Daily Schedule

Our Daily Schedule for Tuesday, September 18th.

9:05 - 9:20 - Morning Work. Students work on morning culture packets, and later watch a 10 minute presentation of the CNN Student News.

9:20 - 10:20 - Math. Students work through the Everyday Math Curriculum.

10:20 - 11:20 - Writer's Workshop. Students are currently working on the proper writing on an essay. Topic covered in later parts of the year will be narratives, reports, and script writing.

11:20 - 12:10 - Prep schedule. Students will rotate between the three awesome prep teachers here at Groveland. Please check out ther websites for a clear idea of what is worked on.

12:10 - 12:20 - Culture. Students will focus on one aspect of the weeks expectations.
                               Monday - Poetry
                               Tuedays - Musicians and Composers
                               Wednesday - Artists
                               Thursday - Countries
                               Friday - Spelling / Culture Quiz

12:20 - 12:43 - Silent Reading.

12:43 - 1:13 - Lunch and Recess

1:13 - 1:40 - Read Aloud. We are now reading The Sisters Grimm!

1:40 - 2:40 - Reader's Workshop. Currently we are working as a whole class on the novel The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.

2:40 - 3:10 - Social Studies. We are studying the origin of ancient cultures.

3:10 - 3:35 - Study Hall. We work on homework or we silently read.
